Attention All Volunteers.  

Before anyone is permitted to volunteer in a parish, they must be in full diocesan compliance.
This involves logging onto the diocesan website to register at:
www.diopitt.org – Click on Safe Environment Compliance – then click on Parish Volunteer.
Complete Step 1 which registers you.  It also submits your PA State Criminal Clearances.
Once completed,  Cynthia Parry, our Safe Environment Coordinator, will send you more information via US mail.  This would include PA Child Abuse and FBI clearances. 
 
Then, click on Step 4.  This has information on the Protecting God’s Children Class, which all volunteers must complete.  You can either take the class on-line or take a “live” class. 
If you work directly with children, you will also need to take the Mandated Reporter Training Class, which also can either be taken on-line or “live.”  (Step 5 – Part 1 has an Appendix which determines who needs to take this class.)
Upon completion of any class, please print a copy of your Certificate and send it to:

There is no fee for volunteers.
